Hello Heather

Brooklyn, Madison, Parker, and Baby Madison
I had a pleasant surprise last week when I heard a voice from the past on the phone. It was my college girlfriend Heather ! I hadn't spoken to her in 6 or 7 years!! She called to tell me that she was going to be in town and she wanted to get together!! So Saturday morning she and two of her four children came over. I always find it amazing to see the children that are produced from my friends. It is so fun to see who the children look like and it is no doubt that they are Heather's offspring!!! Get this.....she has a 7, 5, 3, and almost 18 month old!! Now, I asked her if she was crazy, and she assured me that she was DONE!!! She seems like such a great mom and she looked great! Now my Madison was not a very good hostess as she was having a hard time sharing her toys, which of course was embarrasing because you want your children to act wonderful in front of your friends!! Oh well. It was a fun time and it's always great to catch up with long lost friends!! Thanks for getting in touch Heather!!

Something To Think About

There once was a Mexican fisherman who would get up in the morning and go fishing. By lunch time he had caught enough fish for the day and would come home, sell the fish, eat lunch with his wife, spend the afternoon playing with his kids and napping in the shade and in the evenings he would go down to the bar and play music with his friends.
One day he met an American who asked him, "Are there more fish out there that could be caught?" And the Mexican said, "Yeah, but I catch enough before lunch so I stop fishing and come home." The American said, "You should fish all day and catch more fish so you could increase your earnings."The Mexican asked, "And then what would I do?""You could then buy another boat and hire another captain and catch twice as many fish and earn twice as much. Then you could start to sell your fish to the large corporations."And the Mexican asked, "And then what?""You would keep adding boats until you had an armada and then you could build your own fish factory and ship your fish world-wide! Then you, of course, wouldn't be able to fish any more, you could move to the US and run the company. You would be making tons of money!"And the Mexican asked, "What would I do with all that money?""You would save it!""What would I be saving it for?""So one day you could retire, move to a Caribbean island, fish in the morning, eat lunch with your wife, spend the afternoon playing with your grandchildren and napping in the shade and in the evenings you could go down to the bar and play music with your friends!"

Back to Normal.....Is there such a thing??

So after 4 days of very high fevors, vey clingy, whiney, needy, pitiful toddlers, topped with sleepless nights, we seem to be on amend. Parker still has a case of the clings, but I think he must be teething or something. You really tend to appreciate having healthy kids after dealing with sick ones for a while. The other exciting thing in our house are the mice that have come to live among us!! Talk about grossing me out!!! I thought that is what dirty, dingy peoply had in their homes...but I guess not!!! We are in a battle and I believe that we are loosing!!!
On a better note, I love these pics of the wildflowers. Parker carries that "silkie" as we call it everywhere. He has to sleep with it, he plays with it, etc.... It is a short satin housecoat of mine that he has taken posession of. To cute!!!
