Tragic Loss

My hairdresser, Kelly, works in a shop called Salon Frank Paul. There are only 2 other stylists besides him who are Frank and Gayle. Kelly has worked for Frank for 20 years or so and Gayle has worked with them for about 13. So needless to say, they are like a family. She has been my sister- in -loves, mother -in- loves, and my aunts hairdresser. This morning I heard the tragic news that Gayle was killed yesterday, as you can read in the article below. Gayle has one daughter. Please remember her family, along with her "hair" family, in prayer as I am sure they are devestated. She was always so fun and pleasant. She always seemed to have a smile on. After reading some comments posted on line, I found out that she was a Christian.
I am not sure who the two other people with her were. I am just hoping they were not her relatives. You just never know when you will be taken, you just have to make sure that your heart is ready for heaven.....you have Jesus as your personal savior.

THE GAZETTE
Two people died this morning in a roll-over crash on Interstate 25 south of Colorado Springs that also sent an 11-year-old to the hospital.
The crash occurred around 9:45 a.m., when a southbound 2006 Mazda 3 rolled three times after the driver overcorrected drifting off the right side of the road into the median. The driver, 54-year-old Gayle Reasor of Colorado Springs, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Also killed was front seat passenger Jean Erdmann, 74, of Colorado Springs.
An 11-year-old who was seated behind the driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital.
The Colorado State Patrol said the vehicle was traveling at highway speeds and that preliminary investigation has ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.
The accident had caused major delays but traffic is now free flowing on I-25.

Photo Shoot

Today me and my mom took the wildflowers to get their 2 yr and 3 yr pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids. Now every time before, getting their pictures taken was a very stressful experience!! But this time......it went off without a hitch!! The smiled, acted nice and everything went smoothly!! We were in and out of there in no time!!! I highly recommend Kiddie Kandids....they do a great job!! We put lots of borders and added their names to most of the pictures we ordered, though they are not shown here.
Take a peek.......they are wearing their new outfits that Karen made them. We save them for special occasions......

Water World or Bust

Monday I was able to go to a water park in Denver called Water World. There weren't any other wildflowers going, so my mother-in-law watched mine for me. I was able to have a wonderful time without tending to children and hangin out in the kiddie area. The day was fairly hot, which is what you want when you are in water all day long. There were about 22 of our family members, including aunts, uncles and cousins. Growing up it was a tradition in our family to go every summer to Water World or Six Flags and then to Casa Bonita for dinner. Casa Bonita is this crazy restaurant that has cliff divers, secret caves, mariachi bands and lots of other great things. When you are a kids, it is really impressive!! Pretty cool when you are an adult also : ) My uncle Herb, who is my mom's brother, used to always love to go to Water World with us. He was in an accident in several years ago and became a quadriplegic which eventually caused his death. So it was sad going there without him to hangout and have fun with. He was definitely in all of our thoughts thru out the day.
So we continued a family tradition and had a wonderful time. My family is pretty fun to be around and it is full of some pretty colorful personalities!! I have always been very close to my cousins. So as you can see, family is a major part of our lives and I am very thankful for that!!
Here are some pics from the day:
